As a freelancer for Gancz Creations I was asked to design and build 9 webpages for Phelps Helps.
Phelps Helps is a non-profit organization that offers tutoring and career support to children and young adults in the Standstead area.
For this project, Phelps Helps wished to add a section to their existing website called Phelps A-Z. Phelps A-Z is a guide on running a successful non-profit org. It consists of 10 webpages and is also available as a downloadable pdf
Brief
Gancz creations presented me with one completed webpage of the Phelps A-Z guide and asked me to design the remaining 9 pages to match this existing aesthetic.
design choices
The pages were built using the Wix platform. As with the rest of the website, the three main brand colours of blue, deep yellow and teal were used as the primary design element.
Phelps Helps prioritizes accessibility in its communications. I took a minimal approach to the design, using simple icons to illustrate the central themes. I divided the content into clearly delineated sections, and used numbered lists or shapes when possible to break down content into distinct, easy to read sentences.
Promotional Materials
In addition to the webpages, I also contributed to the design of a 10-year anniversary mailout, the 2022 annual report, and a thank you poster to the sponsors of Phelps Helps 5k run.
The versions displayed here are the designs I contributed before any final changes were made by Gancz Creations and so may not reflect the finished versions of these projects.
