About Me

As soon as I could hold a crayon I wanted to be an artist. I poured over a huge book of art history my uncle had given me and tried my best to replicate landscapes with my watercolours. I continued drawing and painting as a teenager, mainly portraits of my favourite musicans, which eventually lead me to a Visual Arts degree at the University of Lethbridge in southern Alberta where I developed a body of work as a painter and video artist.

After moving to Montreal, I then took a long detour from my art practice to pursue graduate studies in Communication Studies at McGill. After a few years teaching undergraduate courses, I decided that teaching was not my vocation, and I hungered to return to a field where I could exercise my visual skills. I enrolled in an intensive program in Graphic and Web Design at John Abbott College where I refined my technical skills.

Since graduating I have been working as a freelancer for a number of design, marketing and communications companies. Working as a designer feels like the most natural thing in the world. There is nothing I love more than developing a colour palette, brainstorming logo ideas, or laying out a gorgeous catalogue to make you look your best!
